SPORTS AS PART OF OUR CULTURE

Global education explores every aspect of a child’s potential. Mind, body, and emotional well-being all deserve equal attention. Children who are aware of their bodies and motor abilities tend to have greater self-esteem and interact more confidently with the world around them. That is why, at Global Me, sports are not just an extra—they are part of our educational culture.

SWIMMING

Swimming at Global Me focuses on children’s overall motor development, respecting each child’s individual pace and experiences while encouraging them to push beyond their limits. Classes take place in a covered, ozonated, heated pool.

MARTIAL ARTS

Martial arts are rooted in respect, dedication, and discipline. At Global Me, we see them as a way to promote children’s motor, mental, and social development, as well as self-discipline.

BALLET

At Global Me, dance gives children a channel for artistic expression. More than a movement technique, dance allows them to communicate and learn to “feel the world” through their bodies.

BALL SPORTS

We use ball sports to develop motor skills such as reaction speed, dexterity, spatial awareness, agility, and overall coordination, while also encouraging interaction among children.

CIRCUS

In circus classes, children engage in motor and performance activities that support body expression and self-esteem. These activities contribute to social-emotional and motor development, as well as improving balance and flexibility, among other benefits.

CAPOEIRA

Capoeira stimulates social-emotional, cognitive, and motor development, while also improving cardiovascular and respiratory capacity and physical fitness. It is also grounded in the principles of citizenship and respect for others. Due to its cultural context, this activity is taught in Portuguese.

MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness in childhood offers many benefits, including improved focus and attention and greater emotional balance. Children also develop a deeper understanding of others’ feelings, becoming more empathetic and compassionate.

MAKERSPACE

Creative workshops in our MakerSpace are part of the curriculum for students from G5 through the Elementary School early years. The space is equipped with modern technology, including a 3D printer and a sand projection table.

MUSIC AND THEATER

Music contributes to social-emotional, psychomotor, and language development, helping body and mind work together. Likewise, performing arts play an important role in developing children’s physical, emotional, and verbal expressiveness during early childhood.
